This email marketing project focused on building and automating a complete customer communication funnel to increase subscriptions, recover lost sales, and boost repeat purchases. A pop-up form was implemented to capture new subscribers and grow the email list, followed by a welcome flow to engage users from their first interaction. Automated cart abandonment emails were set up to remind customers of incomplete purchases and encourage conversions. Transactional emails, including order confirmation notifications, ensured clear and timely communication after checkout. Promotional campaigns were also created to announce new product launches and drive customer re-engagement. Overall, the project improved user experience, strengthened brand trust, and increased revenue through targeted, behaviour-based email automation.
MailPoet was chosen for this project because it integrates natively with WooCommerce, allowing seamless synchronisation of customers, orders, and products without relying on third-party connectors. This ensured better reliability, simpler setup, and easier management directly from the WordPress dashboard. For small to medium-sized WooCommerce stores, MailPoet offers essential automation features—such as welcome emails, abandoned cart emails, and transactional messaging—at a significantly lower cost than Klaviyo. It also provides strong deliverability for transactional emails and keeps all customer data within the WordPress ecosystem, which is beneficial for privacy, performance, and ease of maintenance. Overall, MailPoet was the most practical and cost-effective solution for this store’s email marketing needs.
